Terms, Privacy & Refunds

Last updated: August 2026
By using BIDBOARD in any way, including simply placing a bid, you're agreeing to everything below. Read it, it affects your rights.

Terms of Use

1. Who can use this

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use BIDBOARD or place a bid. By placing a bid, you confirm this is true.

2. What BIDBOARD is

BIDBOARD is a bidding marketplace for advertising space inside a virtual 3D city, operated by an individual, not a company. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including no warranty of uptime, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

3. How bidding works

4. Your content: warranties and your responsibility

By submitting a business name, image, or destination link, you represent and warrant that:

BIDBOARD does not review content before it goes live, and may remove, hide, or refuse any content at its sole discretion, at any time, without notice or refund obligation beyond what is stated in the Refund Policy below.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BIDBOARD, its operator, and any associated individuals from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) content you submit; (b) your use of the service; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any right of any third party, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BIDBOARD and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, BIDBOARD's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you actually paid to BIDBOARD in the 30 days preceding the claim.

BIDBOARD is not liable for the content, accuracy, or safety of any third-party website linked from a billboard. Visiting a linked destination is entirely at your own risk.

7. Right to change or end the service

BIDBOARD may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, its pricing, or these terms at any time, with or without notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or use of the service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.

9. If part of this doesn't hold up

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable by a court, the rest of the terms remain in full effect.

Privacy Policy

BIDBOARD is a small, independently run project. Here's exactly what's collected and why.

What we collect

Where it's stored

Bid data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore), a standard cloud database service. Images are stored as part of that same database, not on a separate file host.

What we don't do

Content you submit is public

Anything you submit as part of a bid, your business name, link, and image, is displayed publicly to every visitor of the site. Don't submit anything you don't want publicly visible.

Questions about your data? Reach out at pkasture2010@gmail.com.

Refund Policy

Outbid after winning

If someone else outbids you after your bid has already gone live, that's the core mechanic of the site, not a service failure, and is not refundable. Your listing was genuinely live until it was outbid, as disclosed in the Terms of Use above.

The one case that is refundable

In rare cases, a payment can complete at the exact moment someone else's bid is also being processed, meaning you paid but never actually held the spot, even briefly. If this happens to you, it's a genuine processing error, not the normal bidding mechanic, and you're entitled to a full refund.

This is the only circumstance under which a refund is owed. All other completed bids are final, as stated in Section 3 of the Terms of Use.
If you believe the rare case above happened to you, email pkasture2010@gmail.com with your payment confirmation and the billboard you bid on. Refunds are processed manually and reviewed case by case, please allow a few days for a response.
